We keep few cats, so that we can actually keep them

WeLuvCat started in 2019 with two cats and a notebook. That notebook is now this website.

Keeping few cats per generation is a deliberate constraint. A cat that genuinely lives in a home needs space, needs a person's time, and needs someone who notices the day it stops eating. Scale takes all three away at once.

Why the whole tree is published

The chart on this site is not limited to cats we bred. It includes the ones we took in and the ones whose background we do not know. Where there is no pedigree, it says so. Where the parents are unknown, it says that too.

A tree with honest gaps is more useful than a full one built on guesses.

Registrations

The cattery holds a CFA membership as its primary registry and WCF as a secondary one. Registration sits with the cattery rather than with individual cats — the numbers shown on the home page are the cattery's.

Getting in touch

For questions about kittens or lineage, the cattery's Facebook page is the fastest route. We are slowest to reply when there is a new litter, which is also when most people write.
